Cranberry Pomace as a Mulch Amendment

In order to facilitate permitting from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection to use cranberry pomace as an amendment to garden mulch, OEO designed and carried out an extensive R&D project using the pomace. The project involved creating over 100 cubic yards of various garden mulch mixes which contained several different percentages of pomace, and then testing each mix to determine performance vis-à-vis odors, vector attraction, plant health, aesthetics, and erosion resistance.
